CELESTIAL LIVING ARTS
How best to enjoy the art of living for February 2006

ARIES (March 21-April 19):
Your eleventh house is abuzz this month with dreamy, hopeful aspirations which may have you asking yourself "what special talents and personal creative expressions have gone unexplored in recent months or - even years." In the coming weeks, you are in a uniquely divine position to allow and invite the expanded viewpoints of all humanity's crazy-makers to enter into your world. They may actually have valuable information for you that will point to your next mission of creative self-discovery.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20):
Since the end of July, there's been an inner storm of purposeful passion quietly brewing in you Taurus and the time is now right for you to begin to release some of this energy-packed fervor. Don't worry, although you may appear to be uncharacteristically hasty in this gesture, for months you've slowly been preparing for this debut. When you do finally decide to bust out on to the scene with this potent and unbridled passion, remember that you may take others by surprise. If this is so, perhaps it's time to look at the company you keep and examine whether or not these associates are truly in support of the deepest desires of your authentic inner self. Best bet is to let existing affiliations be while you grow some new relationships better aligned with the newly burgeoning you.
GEMINI (May 21-June 20):
Who knew your thought patterns, cyber-surfing (sans internet) and extended mind-travel could project that far into the black holes of the universe or through the central matter of the earth's core? Yes, yes, it's all good fun for you Gemini - next to Sagittarius, no one loves a mental expedition into the far reaches better than you. But let me interject this one thought: February will be an excellent month to give those heightened mental skills the test of gravity and see if you can put your blessed talents to work for others. Try it, I think you'll like it.
CANCER (June 21-July 22):
The activity of high stakes gambling coupled with a deep underlying need for security does indeed make for strange bedfellows. But this is exactly the yo-yo dynamic you'll be playing with this month Cancer. And why would you do that? We know how important faux guarantees of safety and security are to you. Well, as I see it, it's really just a test in disguise - self-imposed of course. You are daring yourself and others to believe in the immeasurable supply of your inner creative resources that you are learning to trust. The high stakes gambling is just smoke and mirrors for added drama. Although you probably don't need it, I'll give you this one word of caution: don't squander all the resources on a high of beginner's luck.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22):
How to win friends and influence people is a reoccurring theme for Leo this month. A born natural at all things fun-loving, you may be invited to engage your gregarious talents in lesser-esteemed modes of persuasion. Perhaps you'll be asked to employ the age-old craft of manipulation (or even extortion), or re-test the imposition of fear as an effective short-term motivator. Someone may even suggest a make-over (read lots of silicone) to fool your fans and up your "Q" rating among our celebrity-worshipping youth culture. If you find any of these things distasteful, I would suggest you take your hand mirror, and once you're done looking at yourself, turn it on your public.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22):
Although the trek through the maze of your mind can be an unending journey of cerebral fascination, the first week of February would be an excellent time to take a mental picture of just how connected the over-engaged activities of your mind may be to the following: 1) the state of your physical health 2) your sense of well-being in the universe 3) the delicate balance of your immune system. Here's a timely experiment for you Virgo - see if some sort of regulation of one does not, in some way, magically and reciprocally benefit another. Use time-honored rituals and a methodical approach for best success.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22):
Nobody ever suggested you were not aesthetically-oriented Libra, it's just that much of your involvement in the creative realms has been driven by an agenda to please, appease, beautify, inform and uplift the other. This month, I dare you to make goofy, messy, ugly art for art's sake working with any medium you choose, whether it be a purple crayon or a pile of mud. As you balance the scales with gifts of amour this month remember that generosity comes from the heart, while conditional giving comes from a neediness fabricated by that thing they call the ego.
SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21):
There is a thematic dance you've been doing for months with your zodiacal friends who, like you, are also members of the fixed signs. This would be Leo, Aquarius and the one who best pushes your buttons, fellow Taurus. Actually, I think you are truly enjoying the tension patterns as they mount and subside because it allows you the opportunity to refine your acute powers of perception while stashing a few more aces up your sleeve for a rainy day. Since you may actually have an audience watching this dance unfold throughout the month, I would advise three things: 1) remember who the choreographer is 2) don't forget the rules of engagement 3) play fair.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): It is entirely possible that the throws of passion will meet the winds of change for you in the next few weeks and this could make for some rather unpredictable behavior from the Sagittarian tribe this month. Fortunately, you will find yourself with an absolutely uncanny ability to invent the most preposterously creative explanations dead on the spot if anybody tries to call you on this. My advise to you is to enjoy the ride, but take notes along the way so that, at month's end, you really know where you've been, what you've been doing and who you've been doing it with.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19):
Have you heard that we've entered an Eight Year for 2006? If you do not already feel it in your bones Capricorn, let me tell you this year portends power and accomplishment for those most fluent in the currency of the material world. What February offers you in this year of goal-tendering is the opportunity to look at your existing resources and see all the untapped potential yet to be harvested. Comb your creativity like you would plow a fertile field and I promise you'll have an absolute mother of a blue ribbon to add to your collection by year's end.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18):
I have heard that the Tibetan meditation master Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche used to say to his students "practice like your hair were on fire." For you Aquarius, it is possible by month's end, you'll have a pretty good handle on this dramatic metaphor. It may not be the heat that gives you the sense of urgency but instead the lightening-fast pace with which the currents of the universe are coursing through you. Ground yourself in earthy activities to help you process this highly electric energy and be as generous as you can with your newly-charged thoughts for humanity.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20):
The Sun, Mercury and your ruling planet Neptune are all cozily ensconced in the depths of your subconscious this month in the sign of Aquarius, no less. Mmmm, what to do about that? Well Pisces, my best advise is for you to attune to the vibe of a scientific mind and through interpolation, extrapolation or whatever creative methodology you can conjure up, investigate with as much detached curiosity as you can muster. Don't worry if you come upon vast arrays of un-owned neurosis, you're just bumping up against the collective shadow that forever lurks in the dark. Your challenge is to see if you can separate out which part is yours..
